Macrina Manor’s social service staff makes the transition from the family
home or hospital into our facility a smooth one for both resident and family
members. Although this transaction is often very emotional, our staff of
professionals works with families to case the distress that accompanies
placement in a facility.
Throughout the resident’s stay, our staff maintains close communication with families and residents to ensure that all needs are addressed. This may include follow-up referrals to community social service agencies for discharge planning or other for special services.
The social service staff helps to guide families through the sometimes confusing financial aspects involving nursing home placement. Insurance including Medicare, Medical Assistance and third party payer insurers present challenges to even the most knowledgeable individual, and our staff is happy to provide answers for families.
