Together
with Albert Gallatin Hospice, we established a unit specifically designed to
care for residents with terminal illnesses. Our unit is designed in a
home-like fashion for our residents and their families. We accommodate
families who wish to stay with their loved one 24 hours a day providing a
kitchenette, private lounge and restroom facilities. At Mt. Macrina Manor we
understand that terminal illnesses can be very trying for not only the
resident but the family as well. Our staff of nurses, social workers and
pastoral care counselors have attended educational programs to provide care
for residents within the hospice unit and throughout the facility.
