Support Services
The
activity program is an integral part of daily life at Mt. Macrina Manor.
Residents’ interests are reflected in a calendar that offers social
opportunities seven days a week, evening and weekends. Our wheelchair can
allows residents to experience traditional social events such as picnics,
plays, shopping, fishing, etc. Since family and friends are a critical
component of the resident’s support social support system, we welcome and
encourage their participation.
The activity staff also offers special one-to-one visits and leisure activities that meet individual resident interests, need and level of functioning. Massage, aroma and pet therapy are just a few of the activities offered to provide our resident opportunities to respond in a unique and special ways. The aroma of fresh bread baking, a soft touch of a visit from a loving dog or cat create an environment reflective of “home.” These innovative interventions often elicit responses that remind us of the value of holistic approach to care.
